Restaurants Opening & Safety Precautions

We are excited to announce we are opening up some of our restaurants to the public. This weekend, May 30th we are opening our Goleta restaurants (Hollister & Calle Real locations) for dine-in service. Additionally, our Chapala restaurant will be open for dine-in service on Monday, June 1. Please remember to wear your facemasks, when not eating or drinking, to protect others around you. We will be spacing tables to help accommodate the 6ft social distancing rule.

Additional safety precautions are outlined below.

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS FOR GUESTS

 Operation hours: 7am – 2pm

To Entering the Café

  • Any guest displaying flu-like symptoms or are sick, will asked to leave the restaurant for the safety of our team and the rest of our guest.

  • Parties will be limited to a maximum of [6] guests per table.

  • Facemasks will be required by everyone in the party to enter, and traveling through, the café (Excluding Children Under 13).

  • If a guest does not have a facemask/covering, we will provide one at a $1 cost.

  • Adhere to the 6-feet distancing mandate between staff and fellow café guests, as much as is possible.

  • Parties must have 100% of the guest present to be seated.

  • Once seated, guests cannot be moved to a different area. If a party is adamant of relocating, the party will have to wait outside and placed at the bottom of the waiting list.

  • No reservations, first come first serve.

Ordering & Dining

  • Guest will be encouraged to look over our menu online before entering the restaurant to expedite their stay in the café.

  • Laminated menus will be issued to dine-in guest. Host will be responsible to clean and sanitize the menu between parties.

  • Guest who place a pick-up order will be asked to wait outside while waiting for their order.

  • Due to the limited space and longer cleaning protocol, we remind our guests that wait-times for dine-in are expected to be longer than in the past.

  • Host will not seat parties after 2pm.

SAFETY ADJUSTMENTS TO OUR CAFES

Cash Registers

  • Dine-in customers will not need to interact directly with our cashiers.

  • Designated team members will handle cash and process payments.

  • A designated team member will adhere to routinely clean and sanitize high contact surfaces and items around the register.

Dining Room/Patio

  • Capacity has been significantly reduced to practice the 6-feet social distancing recommendation.

  • Bar tops and community tables will not be available for dine-in.

  • A designated entrance to the café will be the only way guest can enter the café.

  • Specific exists will be assigned for each serving section.

  • A designated server will be the only team member directly interacting with guests.

  • Each table, chair, and booth will be clean, disinfected, and sanitize between parties.

  • Towels used to clean tables will be constantly cleaned and sanitize between each use.

  • Condiments, cups, and utensils will be available upon request.

Waiting/Common Areas & Breakrooms

  • Waiting areas have been closed off to limit the clustering of groups.

  • Hosts will be directing the seating flow of parties for dining-in. Hosts will be strategically sitting parties with social distancing in mind to create a safe flow for staff and guest.

  • Breakrooms will be cleaned and disinfected after every use by team member.

Bathrooms

  • Bathrooms will be cleaned and sanitize every 2-hours by a designated team member.

  • Toilets, urinals, sinks, baby changing stations, and mirrors will be included in the bathroom cleaning schedule.

  • Used toilet paper must be discarded in the toilets.

  • Hand sanitizers will be placed near the bathrooms.

  • Floor signs will be in placed to indicate waiting spots for the restrooms.

Kitchen

  • Team members will work with masks and gloves throughout their entire shift.

  • Team members will remain practicing the 6-feet social distancing.
